Vice President, Treasury Operations Administration
In this position, you will act in a fiduciary role on behalf of Countrywide, its divisions and subsidiaries. Key functions will include managing Countrywide's Bank Administration and Service Implementation for the Treasury Department and supervising staff members, in addition to overseeing the maintenance of branch signature specimen files and final review/approval of exception reporting payment decisions on bank exception reporting systems. Responsibilities will include hiring, training, developing and appraising professional and non-exempt staff. Incumbent will be relied upon to manage and assist in the implementation of new treasury services, review all contracts and service agreements to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements, and work cross-functionally and in a team setting to continuously improve the quality of operations and internal customer service while working to reduce or minimize operating costs. Manages the investment portfolio of the Second Charter Reinsurance Companies by monitoring all transactional activity and investing all free funds as advised by Second Charter Managing Directors. Other duties will include establishing/maintaining control of check stock inventory, overseeing the maintenance of the Authorization for Check Pick Up list and undertaking special projects including feasibility studies and analysis.
The successful candidate will have a college degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related subject, along with 10+ years of increasingly responsible experience in corporate banking/treasury operations or cash management within a fast-paced, large financial organization. Expertise in contract review and negotiations is a must, as is a background in managing the work of and providing direction for a staff of professionals in a corporate environment. Knowledge of banking operations and cash management concepts and services for large corporations is essential, as is familiarity with contracts, service agreements and contract negotiation as they relate to corporate policy and departmental compliance issues. Must be familiar with investing concepts and instruments, corporate account analysis and the laws regulating mortgage banking. Requires knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Proficiency in such current computer applications as Word, Excel and LotusNotes is mandatory, as are effective interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of Countrywide's divisions and their internal financial/operating processes and accounting procedures is preferred.
