Job Title: Accounting Specialist



Division/Department: Accounting





Reports to: Accounting Supervisor





Location: 3144 N. 7th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85013





Responsibilities: Perform back-office travel accounting functions for Travel Agency. Perform accounting and balancing for auto repair facility. Analyze membership data, calculate membership revenue and deferred revenue. Assist with month-end closing process. Review and analyze accounts, prepare adjusting entries, and prepare for annual audit. Perform special projects as necessary.





Requirements: One to three years experience in accounting including: accounts receivable, analyzing and reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries and other general Accounting experience. Creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets. Experience utilizing sophisticated computerized financial system. Prior travel accounting back office experience preferred. Ten key by touch. Intermediate Excel skills to create, improve and maintain spreadsheets. Basic word processing using MSWord. Professional written and oral communication skills. Six to twelve hours college level courses in Accounting or formalized accounting training to demonstrate good understanding of accounting procedures and principles. Recent and ongoing continuing education classes or training to assure Accounting and Software knowledge is current.





Work Schedule: M-F 8:00 am 5:00 pm
