The Milwaukee office of BDO Seidman, LLP serves a diverse range of public and privately owned clients in industries such as Manufacturing, Distribution, Healthcare and Service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Day-to-day "in-charge" of audits - responsible for all stages of the audit - planning, fieldwork and "wrap-up"
Prepare financial statements with disclosures
Coordination of audit team efforts
Review of client SEC filings
Responsible for training and supervising associates
Document, validate, develop tests and assess various control systems
May be involved in agreed-upon procedures engagements
Ability to make constructive suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures
Ability to formulate and communicate the audit plan
Ability to develop and maintain ongoing business relationships with client personnel
QUALIFICATIONS:
Four-year degree in Accounting
Passed CPA exam
3-5 years work experience in Public Accountingo Prior supervisory experience
Ability to use various assurance applications and research tools
Prior SEC reporting experience, a plus
Possess people development and delegation skills
Possess executive presence - need to be able to be primary contact for the client
Organizational skills a must along with a strong work ethic
Strong administrative skills
Ability to make appropriate decisions
