WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill the position of Business Analyst supporting our Western Division. Required background and experience will include the following:
Experience planning, forecasting and monitoring results.
Experience analyzing production, operations, financial data, and business trends and building business cases to support findings.
Ability to use technical tools in creating marketing, trending and business analysis reports.
Strong business acumen and technical expertise.
Proven ability and prior experience exercising independent judgment and making decisions.
Highly proficient with information systems. Must have advanced working knowledge of Excel, Word and Access.
Excellent written and verbal communication
BA Degree or equivalent preferred - equivalent work experience will be considered.
Minimum 2 years experience working in a property & casualty environment.
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?
Evaluate data from various management information systems/reports.
Operate as a Division support and a line of business support for property & casualty businesses.
Make recommendations to management with regard to business trends, opportunities and workload solutions.
Collaborate with management to execute solutions effectively and efficiently
Develop benchmarks and performance measures to track results.
Support the efforts of Marketing, Operations and Sales staff, utilizing expertise and data in evaluating industry trends, business needs and workload planning.
Objectives of the Business Analyst:
Availability - Being able to readily locate information that is requested.
Accuracy - Becoming familiar with the most reliable information.
Collaboration - Building company wide contacts from whom to build a firm base of knowledge and to enable open communication for thoughts and concerns.
Current - Being up to date with the most recent data, and knowing when updates of each set are expected to be released/refreshed.
Flexibility - Ability to adhere to change.
Resource - Gaining pertinent knowledge by working with the many information channels available within the company and becoming a Division resource for each of these channels.

This position can be located out of our San Francisco or San Ramon Office.
