Position Description
We are seeking a Senior Contracts Administratorto work within the Contracts Account Administration group. You will be responsible for facilitating the start-up of multi-million dollar investment management accounts for institutional pension plans or foundation/endowment accounts. You will work with the marketing department to obtain initial client data and act as the primary interface with the client during the start-up phase of the relationship. You will then act as a liaison between the client, the marketing group and the legal department to ensure confirmation and compliance with the terms of the agreement. Additional responsibilities include preparing relevant documents for the account start-up, identifying unusual or non-standard client requests and escalating them to the appropriate business units for discussion, and providing account data for various internal systems utilized by internal departments.
Our environment is collaborative. You can expect to have extensive interaction with others within your own team as well as in other groups, including clients and their attorneys and the corporate legal department. You will be expected to stay apprised of current US and global issues, Capital Group standards, and compliance.
9/80 work schedule available for this position.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have:
Bachelor's degree; paralegal certificate or other legal education/experience preferred
Strong document review and redlining skills in order to identify and extract key elements within contracts
Experience with preparing side letters and other related legal correspondence
Strong computer skills, including the ability to work with various database systems
Experience in legal department, law firm, or financial services a plus
In addition, you must be able to:
Work with team members and other groups in our collaborative environment to enhance work processes and improve overall service delivered to clients
Be a resource to the team, to peers and to other business groups by answering questions, sharing opinions and perspectives, and participating on or leading special projects
Demonstrate an exceptional standard of quality: this involves initiative, attention to detail, organization, thoughtful analysis and problem-solving
Balance concurrent projects
Be able to work some additional hours during peak business periods
