Preferred: MBA level degree; CPA/CMA. Job Specific Knowledge & Experience: Position Summary:
This Finance Manager Position is within the company?s largest Product Business Group [Thin Films Group ?TFG?] reporting directly to the TFG Group Controller. The Product Business Group is comprised of 5 core engineering groups and the supporting headquarters organization. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing operating and expenditures for 4 of the 5 engineering groups.
This Manager will oversee three [3] Financial analysts, who are responsible for the budgeting, consolidation, financial reporting, and financial management for the 4 groups, 2 mini environments, and capital spending, project accounting, headcount reporting, and travel reporting for TFG.
The position is extremely high profile, as the Manager will partner closely with operational Executives across product, as well as, functional organizations, therefore, strong communication/interpersonal skills are critical as each group?s infrastructure and processes vary widely.
Key Skills:
B.S. in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration/Economics
CPA / MBA preferred, not mandatory
Experienced in process development, financial systems, and internal business controls
? Strong financial analysis and problem solving skills
? Solid technical accounting background
? Strong communication / interpersonal skills
? Strong computer skills [Excel and PowerPoint]
? Self-starter, ability to work independently and look for opportunities to provide value added financial analysis.
? Effective in a team environment across functions and organizations
? Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Lotus Notes [Hyperion desirable]
Job Responsibilities:
? Partner with operational groups to assist in the achievement of business goals and targets.
o Work with operational executives to prioritize spending. Determine proper accounting treatment for unusual activities.
o Support the project-based activities and ongoing operating expenses
o Develop forecasting model based on various drivers.
? Develop and streamline business processes including:
o Project manage the development and implementation of project cost tracking
o Address business processes and financial control issues related to purchase requisitions.
o Identify opportunities for business efficiencies and develop desktop procedures to document new business processes
o Provide finance training to operations
o Assist with ad-hoc projects/reporting as required
? Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Financial Management:
o Monitor actual to forecast financials through the maintenance of weekly checkbooks
o Prepare quarterly forecast reviews and present to management
o Reconcile and review accounts for quarterly balance sheet reviews
o Identify financial control weaknesses and develop corrective actions
o Perform month-end close related activities
o Perform annual asset audits, participate in internal/external audits and the annual internal control self-assessment Responsibilities: Manages and directs the activities of the financial staff. Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees. Manages and develops systems and processes in partnership with operations to ensure financial integrity. Analyzes, interprets, and prepares divisional financial forecasts. Develops reports as required. Completes divisional financial resources analysis and prepares reports. Develops and implements divisional annual budget. Develops and submits quarterly financial reports. Business partner interacting with senior level management on complex issues associated with developing, implementing and interpreting policy.
