Responsibilities

The $25M Global Ultrasound IT P&L, with a sales history of 35+% AAGR, is targeting 90% growth in 2006 through expanded geographic coverage, new service offerings, and annual product breakthroughs. Supporting the financial execution of this significant sales growth will be the principal goal & objective of the Ultrasound IT Financial Analyst. Ultrasound IT's high growth trajectory, strong global presence (45% of sales & 60% of base cost in Europe), and wide functional breadth (all departments in one business including sourcing, mfg, R&D, applications, sales, & service) make it a compelling business to learn the strategy & tactics of growth. The Ultrasound IT Financial Analyst will provide primary support to the GM of Ultrasound IT & will partner with operations for all things finance including:* Analysis of full P&L financials Forecasting and reporting of $25M Sales, $18M CM, & $10M Base Cost.* Preparation for bi-weekly "risks & opportunities" with Diagnostic Ultrasound CFO and monthly operating reviews with Diagnostic Ultrasound CEO.* Monthly consolidation & reporting of Ultrasound IT results including global product sales, mfg variance, commercial metrics, base cost spending, & headcount by department.* Support of Qtr close including journal entry bookings, sales rep/mgr commissions calculation, and account reconciliations.* Financial leadership of key Ultrasound IT strategic initiatives including global service deployment, R&D India business development/outsourcing, EMEA/Asia sales & marketing expansion, and IT product platform unification.* Assist in key strategic planning processes including Growth Playbook (3-year Plan), SII (1-year Plan) and Operating Plan.In summary, the Global Ultrasound IT P&L - a unique "start-up" business within GE - presents a rare opportunity to really learn how finance can contribute to growth.~HJ~~CB~ Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and minimum of two years of financial work experience; or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and minimum of two years Corporate Audit Staff experience; or High School Diploma/GED and minimum of seven years financial work experience* Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change* Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas.* Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing* Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, Hyperion, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills including pivot tables, Vlookup & Macros.* You must be legally authorized to work in the United States.* You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational background.* You must be willing to take a drug test.* You must be willing to work out of an office located in Wauwatosa, WI. Desired

* Masters' degree in Business Administration.* Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP); Corporate Audit Staff (CAS); or graduate of other financial leadership programs. * Green Belt Certified.* Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations.* Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others.* Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP.* Experience working in a matrixed environment.* Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE Values.* Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows with ability to travel internationally one to two times per quarter. The Education arm of Diagnostic Ultrasound provides advanced technical & clinical training programs to our customers & supports sales channels that deliver >$250M of U.S. revenue. A competitive differentiator in the Ultrasound market, this group has recently been a key investment for GE Ultrasound with variable costs now totaling $12M. Supporting the GM of Education in building a sustainable education-related revenue stream & a highly productive business model will be the key goals of the Ultrasound Education Finance Manager. Year 1 objectives for this newly created role will include the financial leadership/support of the following initiatives:* Tactical & strategic development of an independent Education-related revenue stream.* Evaluation of current org structure & identification/implementation of productivity improvements.* Development and ownership of Education P&L & metrics (i.e., cost per activity, margins, & ROI, etc).
