Financial Analyst - SRS

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Sales Analysis: Interpret requirements for Sales in preparing sales and financial performance reports. Includes customer/product analysis of sales volume, variable and gross margin and ROA. Understand and explain financial performance in comparison to last year results and Base Plan.

Financial Forecasting: Prepare and provide a financial forecast for Sales to the Financial Manager. Understand all profit drivers such as pricing types, product mix, market impacts/lag, cost variance, non-scope adjustments, etc.

Customer Profitability: Develop business financials for re-bid of existing customers, contract reviews, or new business opportunities. Prepare SIS vs. P&L financial reconciliation each period. Accurately reflect P&L revenue adjustments and manual cost adjustments into SIS as provided by the P&L's in the period-ending closing process. Review customer profitability and the impact cost changes may have to that profitability.

Product Cost Quotes: Supply Sales with product cost information which is requested on a daily basis.

Finance Support: Provide ad-hoc analysis for ongoing support to meet the sales and financial information requirements of both internal and external customers impacting company profitability. Develop and implement cream cheese market lag reporting, pricing models and other pricing management tools. Provide pricing and related financial information, on-going analytical and strategic support. Attend Sales meetings in order to present financial information, on-going analytical and strategic support. Attend Sales meetings in order to present financial analysis and pertinent sales financial data as information relates to pricing. - Help guide Sales partners to manage margins to reflect positively in statements. Review customer profitability and the impact cost changes may have to that profitability.

Monthly Price Change Management and Implementation: Accurately forecast and communicate expected market and cost changes. Manage and Implement data sets. Update and publish various pricing models to assist sales partners in establishing pricing.

Self-development: Attend pricing conferences, food shows, customer visits, cost analyst shadow program.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Marketing/Business Admin.

Accounting, business, finance, & marketing experience.

0-4 years of experience required.

SKILLS:

Finance and/or Accounting skills which would typically be received through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree. Strong mainframe and PC based systems knowledge (ie: Oracle, spreadsheet and reporting applications such as Excel, Crystal, SIS, etc.). Ability to clearly communicate with Director's level and Senior Management level Sales partners. Excellent communication skills.
