Project Cost Analyst

Position Type: Full Time

A publicly traded company currently seeks a Project Cost Analyst to be the liaison for the company's San Diego Division and corporate headquarters. This position offers the stability of a large stable company, yet has the feel of a small company. The Project Cost Analyst will be responsible for reporting and analyzing cost/performance measures; overseeing contractual matters on assigned programs and departments; and the financial administration of subcontracts. The Project Cost Analyst will also be responsible for analyzing historical and current trends to forecast future performance. Invoice generation, the annual forecasting plan, tracking other indirect costing functions, and all aspects of cost volume preparation will also be a major part of the Project Cost Analyst's responsibilities. This person should be able to proactively identify and solve problems of high complexity, exercise good organizational skills, and be capable of working in a team environment (i.e., working with Program Managers and internal/external customers). The person MUST be able to work independently with little to no supervision.

Requirements
-Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting;
-5+ years of performance/cost measurement or financial analysis work;
-Heavy Microsoft Excel knowledge (PeopleSoft preferred also);
-MUST have knowledge in government and commercial contracting and performance measurement principles such as earned value, scheduling, IRR, ROA, payback, DSC and operating efficiency;
-MUST have a security clearance (DOD).
