Regional Business Analyst

Responsible for conducting project financial analysis.




Overall Purpose of Position / Function:





Responsible for conducting project financial analysis (i.e., budget versus actuals, resource allocations, budget preparation, etc.) and other financial measurements. Provide Regional Managers financial analysis and support for effective project management. This includes, but is not limited to estimates to complete, lease vs buy, manpower projections, preparation of regional financial summaries, application of regional overhead rates, and monthly closing.





Responsibilities:





- Analyze trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.


- Partner with the Region Managers, giving financial advice and direction to region(s) and district staff to assist in decision-makings.


- Prepare financial analysis for senior and region management.


- Analyze and review Regional and Corporate monthly and yearly forecasts.


- Oversee billings and collections.


- Audit regional expenses as required.


- Complete special projects and travel as requested.


- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations as they pertain to contracts, vehicles, and places of employment, MBE requirements, taxes, labor laws and prevailing wages.


- Assist with maintaining project schedules.


Requirements:


- Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary. Employee should also be results and multi-task oriented, a team player, and possess the ability to identify the need for process improvement when necessary. Pricing, budgets, forecasting and scheduling within related industry would be an asset. Must be able to meet deadlines.


Education / Experience:BS Degree in Accounting or related business discipline along with a minimum 5 years experience. Working knowledge of PC applications is essential. Must be system oriented, Advanced Excel knowledge a must, Deltek Costpoint experience would be considered a plus.
