Manager of Risk & Fixed Asset
You will be responsible for developing, recommending and administering operations, credit, and market risk management programs with the primary objective of controlling exposure and losses to the company. RISK MANAGEMENT - DUTIES:
Evaluate risk levels of various agreements and other contracts entered into by the company with specific focus on purchase and sale contracts of commodities and insurance.
Develop and maintain certificate of insurance tracking program for all vendors, contractors and others performing work on company property.
Support the property and casualty insurance procurement process by compiling asset and risk exposure data and evaluating adequacy of insurance policy limits.
Facilitate efforts to control workers compensation claims through education, training and follow up on facility inspections.
Ensure the premiums for all insurance programs are allocated appropriately to all company locations and divisions.
Provide daily assistance to division managers relating to claims prevention and other safety and insurance matters.
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and practices in areas such as fraud prevention, workplace safety, damage to physical assets, business interruption and operational processes.
Develop risk mitigation plans designed to reduce the likelihood of occurrence of identified risk.
Assist in implementation and enforcement of risk management, loss presentation, and safety policies and programs.
Support, promote and enforce company's credit and collection policies and practices with designated customers to minimize write-offs and maximize bad debit recoveries.
Monitor company-wide credit exposure and report analysis trends monthly.
Analyze credit risk exposure and recommend appropriate allowance for bad debit.
FIXED ASSETS - DUTIES:
Provide accurate and timely reporting of all asset acquisition, disposal and transfers.
Ensure asset tracking and depreciation in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare monthly depreciation reports and generate journal entries for processing to the general ledger.
Reconcile monthly asset accounts, depreciation expense, accumulated depreciation and gain/loss of disposition accounts.
Prepare fixes assets audit and tax schedules and complete personal property tax reports.
Develop and recommend property accounting methods to provide effective controls.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of fixed asset records.
Provide depreciation projections and analysis to managers to support asset acquisition/disposal decision making.
REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting with 4 years experience in risk control, corporate risk and insurance management, accounting, finance or management of a production facility.
Excellent communicator, must have the ability to effectively present information to employees and management at all levels. Must be analytical and accurate and have organizational skills.
A team player with excellent interpersonal skills able to understand and adhere to the company's values.
Proficient in PC software - Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and database programs.
CPA & MBA would be a plus.
