Our client is an Automotive Tier 1, global leader in their target industry and are currently seeking a high energy person to fill the position of NA Industrial Controller.

This Controller Role reports to the Vice President Controller of manufacturing activities for multiple brands of the heavy duty products.

The Controller is responsible for total manufacturing cost, product cost, capital spending analysis, inventory control and financial oversight of 7 to 10 manufacturing facilities United States and Canada.



Key responsibilities include:

o Direct the approval of the manufacturing operations business plans, budgets and capital spending; provide financial leadership and support to NA operational management in their deployment and hold operations management accountable for financial results.

o Analyze financial reports for variances from forecasted, budgeted, and benchmarked performance and provide recommendations to operations management for profit improvement alternatives

o Establish and maintain adequate internal controls to safeguard inventory and fixed assets.

o Strengthen the plant control functions by attracting and developing talent.

o Perform timely and insightful financial and operational analyses, and present the related data, information and reports to the operations management team for review, decision-making and action.

o Analyze financial results against both plan and historical data to recommend appropriate actions to maximize future financial performance.

Requirements




15+ years of accounting, finance and control required.


Prefer in multiple plant environment with cost accounting experience for machining and assembly.


Prefer that the candidate finance experience be with publicly held Automotive or Capital Goods Industry background with multi-plant experience.


Prefer that you have knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 requirements, implementation and certification process.


Prefer that you know how to use SAP and understand FI/CO.


Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities evidenced by record of increasing responsibility and uncompromised personal integrity and ethics.


Ability and willingness to travel (one week per month)
