Sr. Financial Analyst

Senior Financial Analyst

First American Title Insurance Company (FAF) is looking for an individual to complete financial and operational analytical duties, manage and complete specific financial and operational special projects, and communicate financial and operational results to operational managers. The position is located at the company's regional headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. We are looking for a person who is intelligent, energetic, personable, flexible, detailed oriented, highly organized, unafraid of change, highly computer literate, wants to succeed, and has previous experience working in a financial environment.

Duties:
Work very closely with the regional CFO to coordinate departmental and regional activities
Coordinate the preparation of yearly budgets and monthly forecasts
Prepare monthly P&L statements
Prepare variance analyses
Analyze the performance of profit centers and provide recommendations to managers
Provide information and/or business analyses as requested by management
Prepare ad hoc reports and presentations for management meetings
Resolves issues independently
Other projects and duties as assigned

Skills:
Solid understanding of accounting and finance
Outstanding analytical abilities
Ability to understand and solve practical problems that vary from standard situations without direction
Well organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
Strong PC skills with excellent knowledge of EXCEL and POWERPOINT
Self-starter, flexible, and shows initiative
Ability to design and compile reports and presentationsQualifications 5+ years of experience in a financial environment
3+ years of experience in financial/operational analysis
BA degree in accounting, finance, or business
MBA degree and/or CMA designation preferred.
