What will you be doing?





The ACM will call on the assistance and expertise of the Category Manager, company support groups, in-house vendor representatives and out-side vendor to complete tasks and projects. This understanding of what the customer wants, and the "eye" for product and lifestyle presentation, is a key in this position. A successful candidate will assist the Category Manager to collaborate on life style products and concepts across other departments including all CM teams, visual merchandising, marketing, and store operations.

Advertising

Catalog content

New Product Rollouts

Cut-ins/cut-outs/supercedes

Product assortments

A/P reconciliation

Profit center communications

Vendor communications








What are we looking for?





Minimum 5 years experience in retail, store operations or retail category management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must. Outstanding organizational skills is mandatory. Proven proficiency in MS Office programs, especially Excel, is mandatory. West Marine systems knowledge, including JDA and query, is a plus. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a high pressure, high demand environment is required. Able to meet deadlines; can see task through from start to finish. Candidate must be self-motivated, a self-starter. An enthusiastic team player with a strong desire to succeed a must. Familiarity with the marine industry helpful. Must be internet savvy.
