Associate Photo Producer

SUMMARY



Plan and coordinate all steps to produce company photo shoots including scheduling photo team members, managing photo samples, tracking expenses and coordinating communication between the corporate office and photo team.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Manage all catalog and web photography events.

Set up key planning meetings.

Manage and track photo samples and ensure by sample approval before photo, safety through proper packing, handling and storage and returning to Merchandising dept. Oversee freelance Sample Coordinator during shoots.

Assist with photo props by organizing and managing prop library and assisting with procurement and return of furniture and other large props.

Track completed shots and communicate retouching needs and version details to catalog production team.

Act as a corporate contact for photo crew on location and in studio.

Assist with location scouting and model casting.

Work with manager to schedule photography, team members, locations and studios, models and catering. Communicate photo schedules and call times to all participants with location directions as needed.

Ensure proper contracts are signed with photo team members, locations and models. Arrange for insurance and invoice paperwork to be produced for photo locations.

Establish accounts with local vendors to support photography as needed.

Collaborate with Art Director and photo stylist to maintain and improve efficient functioning of photo studio.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or equivalent


REQUIRED SKILLS


- 2+ years involvement in commercial photography production, studio management or retail catalog production.


- Ability to work well within a team environment and under pressure of multiple deadlines.


- Highly organized, self-starter with strong project management and communication skills. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).


- Ability to move, lift and carry up to 50 pounds.


- Flexible schedule required to meet production deadlines.


Frequent work outside the office is required. Travel out of town may be required on occasion.
