Are you a seasoned copywriter? Someone with a knack for using compelling words to motivate people to act. Someone who loves to write? And, knows how to build a brand? Can you effectively share your knowledge and talent with internal clients and design teams?



If so, we want you to be part of our in-house creative team. We're Sage Software. Most of our brand name products have been around for 15 to 25 years, which is refreshing in the software industry. As a Copywriter, you'll have the opportunity to produce creative that you'd be proud to put in your portfolio.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



Creative Voice and Vision
Champion Sage Software brand with an eye for both present and future business objectives, customer pain points, and strategic direction.
Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm concepts that consistently prove innovative thinking.
Integrate brand messaging and product positioning into your copy.



Conceptual Thinking
Translate strategies outlined in creative briefs and discovery meetings into provocative, engaging concepts and copy.
Write clean copy utilizing an active voice.
Craft attention-grabbing headlines, and body copy with an intuitive flow of information.
Execute the Sage brand message with meaning, precision, and consistency.



Relationship Building
Encourage dialogue with internal clients and build trust by understanding their objectives, project positioning, and market position.
Seek honest, constructive feedback from project team members and provide the same.
Engage your team members in project discussions and brainstorming.
Exercise good judgment and decision-making skills, and understand when to escalate issues.



Quality Assurance
Proofread all copy.
Hold yourself accountable for meeting deadlines.
Coordinate tasks, milestones, and deadlines with the traffic management team.
Recommend additional content, edits to content, and removal of content based on project objectives.
Confirm that all copy has been approved through the proper review channel before being published.





BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS


5+ years professional writing experience, preferably with B2B or high-tech companies
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Advertising or related discipline
A belief system about what constitutes good writing, design, and advertising
Ability to present, defend, and sell your ideas to colleagues
Direct response experience a PLUS
