Junior Graphic Desginer

Job Description


Ziff Davis Game Group seeks a graphic designer to work on a variety of online and offline projects. The graphic designer will work within the sales and marketing department to produce leading edge design for a variety of projects, including website and print graphics, client presentations, sales aids and more. The ability to work on many different types of projects (and have fun doing it) is a key element of the job. This position is based in San Francisco, CA.


Qualifications:




At least 2-4 years of professional design experience, either in an agency, internal marketing department environment, and/or a consumer website


Strong portfolio with engaging designs a must. ONLINE PORTFOLIO IS REQUIRED for consideration.


Online design experience is a must.


Print design experience is a plus.


Skills Required:




Superior creative and conceptual abilities (ideally for both online and print).


Experience with executing projects to support strategic business objectives.


Careful attention to detail and in-depth technical knowledge.


Ability to work in a fast-moving sales environment and produce results quickly and efficiently.


Stellar communication skills and unflagging patience.


Self-motivated, willing to work with limited supervision, but also be able to ask questions when necessary.


Ability to accept critiques and work well with a variety of internal clients.


Excellent team player with the desire to learn and grow as a designer.


Very good skills and experience with Photoshop AND/OR Fireworks. Both are a plus.


Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, InDesign and ImageReady. Flash experience preferred.
