National Science Consultant, West Coast

Position Summary: McDougal Littell, a division of Houghton Mifflin, is the leading secondary textbook publisher in the country. We are currently seeking a National Science Consultant. Position Summary: Teachers/Former Teachers/Science Supervisors: Are you passionate about teaching science? Love to help educators improve sciences achievement? As a National Science Educational Consultant with McDougal Littell you can have a positive impact on science education by representing McDougal Littell's exciting line of educational materials. You will be responsible for sales presentations in grades 6-12, provide staff development workshops, speak at conferences, and foster positive customer relationships. You will work closely with sales representatives, teachers, supervisors and superintendents as you enjoy a fast-paced, professional and challenging work environment. This position will ideally be based out of California but can also reside in Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Utah or Colorado. Requirements 3-5 years middle school and/or high school science teaching experience. Bachelors Degree with emphasis in Science is highly desired. Exceptional presentation skills and experience presenting professional development topics at the district, state and regional level. Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills and comfortable with technology tools such as Word and PowerPoint. Extensive travel is required.
