Diversity Statement Job # CH-006 Duties and Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE: Provide piano accompaniment for music classes and performance groups. Assist in recording student hours and monitoring piano practice rooms. Monitor musical equipment and music library. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse academic, socio-economic, ethnic, cultural, disability, religious background and sexual orientation of community college students, faculty and staff. 2. Associate's degree in Music. 3. Play piano, including sight-read performing literature/music at a level of professional musical standard and or expertise necessary to accompany classes. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Knowledge of record-keeping techniques. 2. Ability to operate a computer and related software such as Word and Excel. 3. Ability to maintain the care of musical instruments, primarily pianos. 4. Ability to maintain records and files. 5. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. 6. Ability to effectively use interpersonal skills with tact, patience and courtesy. 7.
