DisneyOnline's Premium Product team is committed to leading the market in creating, marketing and operating industry-defining, entertaining, interactive and high quality premium online experiences for kids and families. These currently include Disney's Toontown Online, Disney's Blast, Playhouse Disney Preschool Time Online, Pirates of the Caribbean Online, DisneyGame Downloads and Disney Connection.
We are looking for a Producer to join the team responsible for the development, launch and ongoing operation of Disney.com's new entertainment and community platform.
The Producer will work closely with Sr. Producers, Artists and Engineers to develop and program various contextual entertainment media experiences tied to The Walt Disney Company's popular charactersand brands. The Producer position requires excellent production, communication, and time management skills, with an exceptional attention to detail. Responsibilities will include:
Proactively creating and managing schedules and content for the aforementioned entertainment websites, as well as meeting with various synergy partners to ensure company-wide promotional goals are met
Generating ideas for improving engagement and satisfaction with the site, content presentation and organization, and usability
The ongoing, timely maintenance of those site experiences, which willinclude games, music and streaming video
Daily interaction with an internal staff of designers and developers tocomplete daily production tasks on time and on budget
Working with external developers and category managers daily, as well as Disney Online department directors, producers, lawyers, engineers, QA testers, and webmasters as needed to ensure site quality
Understanding and following legal guidelines for children's web sites, e.g. FCC host selling and COPPA regulations
Preparing traffic and usage reports on an as-needed basis
Writing and/or reviewingsite documentation (proposals, project plans, test plans, etc)
Coordinating site launches and/or traffic-drivingevents with the central teams of the Internet Group (Systems Engineering, QA, etc) to ensure optimum site performance
Working with Ad Sales team to support sponsorships andother revenue-generating initiatives
Continually assessing new technologies and web services that will provide value to consumers and will help to distinguish the site from competitors
QUALIFICATIONS:
3-4 yearsproject management experience in the Internet field, preferably in the entertainment industry
4-year college degree or equivalent with work portfolio
Experience and knowledge of web site technology, design and production
Must be proactive in terms of scheduling and foreseeing business and promotional needs/requirements based on own learned knowledge of that business
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, managing several projects at once
Must be able to prioritize projects based on business and promotional goals
Ability to excel ina team environment with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong sense of ownership and urgency
Ability to work closely with artists, content developers, engineers, QA testers, and webmasters on day-to-day production, as well as other internal staff like directors, marketing, public relations, and lawyers
Ability to create and maintain accurate budgets and schedules
Ability to workwell with external vendors and clients; great at relationship and people management.
Ability to analyze, trackand report traffic and performance
