Product Manager-- Online Enterprise And Consumer Products
Position Type: Full Time
Our client's Marketing Department is seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager for their adult education product line sold to Corporations and Consumers. This position is responsible for managing several existing education products as well as defining new products, including facilitating their development, introduction, maintenance, and/or obsolescence. The ideal candidate will research and identify new product areas to develop and assists in the development of the overall product line strategy.
This individual will guide the process used to identify customer needs, understand market trends and conduct competitive analysis to develop product messaging, marketing programs and tools to communicate key features and benefits to ensure the product lines success in the marketplace.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-Assist in driving the broad product line for worldwide markets and assists in the development of the product line strategy. Successfully manages tradeoffs that affect cost, schedule, users, and how well the product works throughout the product life cycle. Provides product leadership from initial concept through renewal, articulates issues, and makes clear recommendations.
-Define product positioning and key product messaging. Communicate and position the product in relation to other products and the competition.
-Analyzes costs models and makes pricing recommendations to management.
-Identifies needs and develops sales tools, product training, marketing programs and customer facing product information. Works closely with Sales, Country Marketing Managers, Marketing Communications and Product Development to develop and review materials such as collateral, press releases, and sales tools.
-Closely follows emerging technology, consumer, and societal trends and make recommendations for how products will leverage or fit into those emerging trends.
-Independently identifies and analyzes the possible impact of competitive/3rd party products on products and makes recommendations as needed. Has expert knowledge of competitive products and competitor strategy.
-Works closely with Sales, Marketing Communication, Country Marketing Managers and Product Development organization to drive success of the product line and implementation of the global product line strategy.

Requirements
- 6+ years Product Marketing experience.
-Experience managing a global product line in direct channels.
-Understanding of global enterprise and consumer online products and markets.
-Experience in education and/or online learning is preferred
-Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, as well as rigorous attention to detail.
-Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence all levels of a broad, matrixed organization in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
-Excellent project management skills, including ability to prioritize tasks, projects and planning
-Must have experience formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing.
-Bachelors degree or MBA preferred.
-Travel is required
