Ziff Davis Media, Inc., is a special interest media company focused on the business and consumer technology markets. Reaching over 17 million readers per month, the company provides total IT market coverage from consumer enthusiasts and gamers, to corporate technology buyers and users through its portfolio of award-winning print and online brands.





eWeek is looking for a reporter to cover the search industry who loves the adrenaline rush from breaking big stories. We are looking for a reporter with at least two years of online. The reporter will work with a team veteran tech reporters and be expected to hold their own. This position reports to the West Coast Managing Editors. The position will be based in the San Francisco office.





The position requires strong writing, reporting skills and a history of reporting on enterprise technology issues as well as the ability to deliver on deadline. The ideal candidate would have a strong set of sources already in place at enterprise and consumer search companies.

Specific Duties:



Report on key stories as directed by news editor
Deliver 1 or more stories daily
Break stories of interest to our readers
Develop and enhance sources at consumer companies and managers
Attend events
Develop high profile in industry

Requirements:
3 - 5 or more years news reporting
3+ years covering the consumer area
Strong written and verbal skills
Journalism degree or equivalent
Strong interest in the enterprise technology market
Daily journalism experience preferred
