Reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Reporting, the Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will be responsible for various key functions that support the quarterly consolidationand close process for the enterprise. This person will also actively participate in the preparation of Form 10-K/10-Q and the preparation of internal financial reporting that is provided to senior executives of the Company. The Company is embarking upon an initiative to accelerate and enhance itsclose process. This role will participate on the project team that leads this effort.

There is significant interaction between the Corporate Reporting Team and all of the Disney business units. The Team shares a continuous processimprovement mentality, with support from the Vice President, Corporate Controllership and other senior management to look at what they are doing and identify how they can do it more effectively and more efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the quarterly close and consolidation processes which lead to the generation of consolidated financialstatements

Manage the Enterprise-wide Equity Reconciliation process

Assist in preparing quarterly bluebook (company-wide internal consolidated financial statements),senior management reports (variance analysis), press releases/earnings releases (period results), Form 10-Q and other government reports

Assist in preparing the Annual Report, Form 10-K and special projects

Implement changes to Corporate Reporting's Income Statement and Balance Sheet consolidation and close process and participate on the project team to lead the enterprise accelerated close initiative


A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration; CPA (or current pursuit of certification) a plus
Strong knowledge of general accounting and the quarterly close process
Strong working knowledge of PC-based financial computer software applications, including Excel
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships
The ability to work in a highly organized and efficient manner, write well, and collect and verify data accurately


SAP and consolidations systems experience a plus
CPA or in some stage of pursuit of certification
The drive to be an important player in a Fortune organization
