Amazon.com is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, multitalented Sr. Site Merchandiser to help grow our Toys & Games and Baby business. This Sr. Site Merchandiser will be dedicated to developing a best-of-breed retail environment by developing and implementing e-mail and cross-site merchandising programs. Additionally, this site merchandiser will work with buyers and merchants to develop category promotions and build strong relationships with both our vendor and merchant community. He/she will be responsible for scheduling promotional content, analyzing metrics, and reporting on performance to the buying and merchandising teams. To drive sales and help the buying team sell co-op, the site merchandiser will also plan and schedule content on home pages, category pages, detail pages, and across the site.


Qualifications


The successful site merchandiser is expected to be a strong, committed member of the Toys & Games and Baby team who will be able to identify site improvements and drive them to completion by coordinating with project managers, web developers, buyers, designers, merchants, and other site merchandisers. Technical requirements include XML, Excel, and some UNIX, plus the ability to learn our in-house tools quickly. This site merchandiser must be a perfectionist with an eye on the big picture, capable of handling large projects in tandem with everyday merchandising deliverables, able to take direction as well as lead, and be comfortable working with teams, vendors, merchants, and management. Besides having first-class written and verbal communication skills, this site merchandiser must be able to ruthlessly prioritize and stay on task to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.





The ideal candidate will have experience with online merchandising; will have an affinity for the Toys and Baby categories; and will be innovative, internally motivated, self-directed, and willing to help buyers, control buyers, and merchants synthesize business objectives into rapidly and flawlessly executed top-notch online merchandising.
