Sr. Engineering Manager

The Sr. Engineering Manager performs project management and development tasks to define requirements, design, implement, test and release new systems and/or toolsets that satisfy requirements ofmultiple organizations. Should have a working knowledge of Internet tools and technologies and be adept at project management and software engineering processes. Provides training and guidance to technical personnel and coordinates with other organizations to define requirements for future technologies. Performs basic managerial functions such as scheduling, resource allocation, and cost and time analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Leadership experience is preferred. Candidate should be able to provide the following:
Must have a strong ability to provide technical leadership, guidance, and project management to engineers and technical personnel.
The candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or management discipline or equivalent experience. Computer Science degree is preferred.
Requires five or more years experience or equivalentexpertise.
Ability to coordinate with other organizations for requirements gathering and for technology and development process evangelism purposes.
Must possess advanced managerial abilities such as scheduling, resource allocation, and time and cost estimation.
A working knowledge of Internet technologies and Internet development technologies is required.
An ability to work with andleverage third-party technology developers.

The following skills are considered necessary for the position: A working knowledge of business and system analysis. .
Standard softwareengineering principles and methods.
Must have a basic understanding in server-side web application developmentlanguages such as Java, Perl, JSP, EJB, Servlets, J2EE, SQL, C++, Perl, and ASP.
Knowledge with web site designvia HTML, DHTML and JavaScript.
An understanding ofclient technologies such as IE, Netscape browsers and Win32development.
A knowledge with server technologies such as WinNT, IIS, SQL Server, UNIX, Oracle, and Netscape Enterprise Server.
An understanding of Internet protocols and standards such as HTTP.
Considerable experience in project managing the development of and optimizing scalability of, high performance Internet applications.
Knowledge of web authoring tools such as Shockwave and Flash desirable.
Expertise with project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, Visio.
Excellent analysis, oral & written communications, and presentation skillsare a must.
Self starter with high level of initiative; passionate, committed and high level of energy
Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meetdeadlines
