Sr Technical Editor/Writer

Job Description:

Edits, writes, and/or rewrites technical articles, procedures, work instructions, and other materials to communicate clearly and effectively research findings, technical developments, and other news and information to a wide range of internal audiences. Interprets and administers documentation/ communication policies and procedures. Advises writers and researchers in matters of style, syntax, and usage to improve the general quality and effectiveness of communications. Exercises quality control over documents intended for external distribution. May participate in copy clearance process.

Required Skills:
- Minimum of four years experience as Technical Writer
- Ability to create detailed work instructions for both a manufacturing and test environments from user process information
- Working knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker 7.0
- Working knowledge of Webworks Publishing
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Photoshop
- Working knowledge of Acrobat 6.0
- Working knowledge of Acrobat Distiller
- Working knowledge of HTML editing and conversion

Required Education : Bachelor's Degree

Desired Skills:
- Experience in Manufacturing environment
- Experience in DoD environment
- Experience with engineering development
