Broker Support Representative

Broker Support Representative

This position performs reviews of customer documentation and trade suitability to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Acting as liaison between clearing firms, vendors, external customers and other key departments within Countrywide Bank, a division of Treasury Bank, N.A.
- Providing responsive, high-quality customer service by supporting the sales of investment products from sales representatives, clients and prospects.
- Taking inbound calls from sales representatives and clients, and entering trades.
- Assisting in the training of back office staff and investment representatives.
- Supporting the Operations Manager with administrative needs, and providing back-office support.

A successful candidate will have:
- 2-year college degree.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Registered Principal must have the NASD Series 7, 63 and 24.
- Extensive knowledge of industry trends and current events.
- Specialized knowledge of securities brokerage and retail investment services practices.
- Familiarity with major clearing firms and the Internet as it relates to retail securities brokerage.
- Ability to answer fundamental questions (and/or address concerns) about investing, as well as describe features and benefits of products offered.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.

The ideal candidate may also possess:
- BA/BS in business-related area (or equivalent knowledge from business experience).
- Series 53 and Life Insurance license.
