Investor Business Development is a primary sales arm for Schwab Investor Services. We support “Talk to Chuck” initiatives; receive calls related to marketing and advertising; and proactively assist prospects and clients with assessing needs, proposing solutions, consolidating assets, opening new accounts and navigating them to the next steps in their fully integrated relationship with Schwab.



The Client Service Specialist will play a key role assisting Investor Business Development sales professionals and management in generating additional business for the firm. The Client Service Specialist will be responsible for handling all operations-related correspondence for Investor Business Development. Responsibilities will include reviewing operations paperwork, processing paperwork and contacting clients directly in an effort to increase timeliness of operations processing. The role will also include audit and supervision responsibilities.



Series 7 required. Series 9/10 preferred. Two years customer service and/or financial services operations experience. Must have the ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple time deadlines. Must have strong organizational skills and be able to process detailed data accurately and effectively. Must be able to build and maintain solid relationships with internal business partners and clients. Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility is a key aspect of this role and the ideal candidate will need to be equally comfortable with internal client interactions as they network to research and resolve client operational issues. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated brokerage, banking back-office or operational experience, coupled with effective customer service skills and experience. Cross-functional operational knowledge and experience in processing and cashiering is strongly desirable, but not required. Position will be graded based on qualifications and experience of the candidate.
