A credit union in Salinas, Northern California is seeking a Manager of Consumer Lending and Collections.


Since 1950, this credit union has been serving its members not for profit, not for charity, but for service. This is a small credit union that requires someone who is very hands on, team oriented, and supports the credit union movement. Manages a small collections and lending staff. Must be up to date on all lending and collections laws, regulations, and compliance issues. Versatile on risk based lending, indirect lending, auto loans, consumer finance, and home equity loans. Candidates will
need to have loan production, product development, strategic planning as well as sales, business development and marketing experience working with a credit union, consumer finance company or a bank. The Manager of Consumer Lending/Collections must also have proven ability to improve and decrease loan delinquencies within a financial institution. The Manager of Credit/Collections is a valued member of the upper management team and will work with the board of directors, staff members, and members of the credit union.


Excellent communication skills, management skills, training, coaching, counseling, planning, development, lending, underwriting, and a good understanding in consumer finance laws.
College degree preferred or 5 years or more in a similiar position. Spanish speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.
