Member Services Rep I

Chevron Federal Credit Union is searching for a Member Services Representative I for its office located in downtown Oakland's City Center. Based on variable needs and within the scope of individual capacity, the ideal candidate will provide a wide range of member services. Banking or Credit Union experience is required.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:


Remaining flexible, based on changing needs of the Member Services Department.






Processes daily mail including deposits and loan payments. Examines all checks for proper endorsements. Picks up, sorts and delivers all incoming and outgoing mail for the credit union.


Provides information on the phone to members and potential members on all credit unions products and services; counsels potential members on membership requirements. Conducts microfilm audit.


Processes member address changes, orders check copies and ATM/Debit cards. Processes wire transfer requests. Balances daily work; audits and stores daily work for the branch. Balances branch official checks daily.





Requirements:


High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent.

One year banking, savings and loan or credit union experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Good verbal and written skills and the ability to apply a common sense understanding to requests, instructions and member interaction.
