You will be primarily responsible for:
To provide a competitive and profitable US product line for Franklin Templeton. Manages existing product line to insure that all products are effectively positioned and structured to compete with the top players in each market segment and communicating said positioning to internal and external partners. Modifies and develops products to address gaps/take advantage of emerging opportunities.
*JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Management
*Develop and monitor product positioning
*Conduct regular review of product line and investment strategy
*Serve as liaison between portfolio management and US retail sales
*Actively participate in strategy development
*Provide talking points/context to assist sales & marketing in defending/selling product. Respond to product-related inquiries from sales and marketing.
*Work with portfolio management to address structural product issues
Product Development
*Research & develop new products and pricing
*Research, recommend and coordinate changes to existing products
*Implement new products/share classes and product enhancements and changes
Manage Product Manager(s) in a collaborative environment, providing effective leadership, communication, mentoring and goal setting. Focus on ensuring team members successfully grow and deliver to their goals.

We look for:
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
*A 4-year college degree. Graduate-level degree or requisite experience desired.
*6+ years experience in product management
*10+ years experience in financial services industry
*Knowledge of investment process, retail investment vehicles and the retail distribution channel:
*Must have proven technical understanding of investment products and the portfolio management process.
*Demonstrated understanding of product innovation within the retail marketplace.
*Solid understanding of financial services industry regulations, dynamics and demographics.
*Superior analytical and research capabilities:
*Past experience in shaping analysis of the competitive landscape and identifying strategic and tactical opportunities.
*Proven ability to prepare complete investment/financial rationale for new product ideas.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Understanding of performance and risk analytics

Excellent Organization skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
*Series 7 a plus.
*MBA and/or CFA designation or progress towards preferred.
