Staff Appraiser II

Performing residential property appraisals, you will personally inspect property and grounds, noting improvements to the property and ensuring any additions have been completed to code with appropriate certificates of occupancy. Responsible for developing market value estimates, completing appropriate appraisal reports and keeping current with real estate values and economic, social and government trends within assigned territory.

Requires an AA degree and formal real estate appraisal education and state licensing, along with 3-5 years experience in real estate, including training in appraisal. Experience as a Staff Appraiser or full time experience as an independent fee appraiser within the past 12 months is essential. Knowledge of appraisal standards and techniques for appraising 1-4 residential units is a must, as is computer knowledge to conduct research and complete appraisal reports. Must have an understanding of current appraisal systems.
