Facilities Specialist


Summary of Job Responsibility
Works with and performs tasks for the Facilities Director, outside services, and employees in meeting their needs and expectations relating to utilities, contractors, workstations, and space requirements. Coordinate and oversee mechanical installations, upgrades and repairs to the electrical, mechanical, network, and telecom systems in all premises. Develop and perform preventive maintenance schedules. Coordinate and perform facility general repair activities. Provide backup support for the all Facilities duties. Manage special projects as skills dictate. Perform other duties assigned by management as individuals skills dictate.


Essential Functions


To maintain the mechanical, structural, electrical, ventilation, security, and communication systemsintegrity through out all Facilities owned and leased.


To provide services to all departments in areas of utilities, network systems, telephone systems, safety and space. To assist outside services in the aforementioned activities. Some travel is required.


Minimum Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


Candidate must have good communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills, planning skills, leadership skills and good mechanical aptitude. Microsoft Office Suite computer software knowledge is a plus. This individual must be highly motivated. Must be intellectually rational to changing circumstances, crises and personal conflicts and remain calm under pressure. Education and Experience


Candidate will possess a trade school or job related associate degree. 3 years construction experience or any position related job experience. Journeyman classification in any construction trade or job related certifications preferred.
