Since 1983, we have offered a full spectrum of engineering, design and planning solutions for commercial, industrial and land development. We specialize in structural, civil, survey, geotechnical, and environmental project services. Located in Northern California, our region is El Dorado, Amador, Placer and Sacramento Counties. Our clientele extends throughout all of California and the western states.

We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Project Engineer in our Shingle Springs, CA (between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe) office!

What do you need to qualify for this position?

~ Current registration as California Professional Engineer
~ MS Degree in Geotechnical Engineering

And at least 5 years experience with the following:

~ Writing Geotechnical Engineering Proposals
~ Performing and Supervising Field Investigations
~ Earthwork Construction Oversight
~ Performing and Supervising Engineering Analyses (Foundation Design, Slope Stability and Seismic Hazard Evaluations) and Report Preparation on Projects
~ Ability to lead and build a niche geotechnical group for established clientele
~ Water Works (large drainage pump stations, flood walls and gates, levees, roads and bridges, waste water and water treatment plants)
~ Industrial and Commercial Geotechnical Studies
~ Varied Ground Stabilization and Exploration is a plus

What will you be doing?

The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for preparing the scope of work, proposals, contracts, and technical approach for geotechnical studies. The candidate will also provide mentoring of the geotechnical staff and quality control of the geotechnical engineering studies. He/She reviews complex reports and correspondence and also provides technical expertise in one or more specialty areas. This individual will report to the Geotechnical Department Manager.
