Location: Montebello, CA

Salary Range: $50,000 - $75,000

Purchasing Manager - Metal / Machine Products

Are you a qualified Purchasing Agent or Purchasing Manager?
Do you have experience within the Metal or Machine Parts products industry?

If so...... READ ON!

Daily Duties:

The qualified candidate must be motivated and organized with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi task.

** Knowledge of machine practices, metal technology or a simliar industry.
** Placing purchase orders for stock items and special orders, tracks costs and prices, managing dead items etc.
** The successful applicant interacts with, and manages vendor relationships.
** Buy / Sell purchasing and consigned inventory management
** Experience and abilities to negotiate major purchases,
** Resolve shipments in error and damages with vendor.
** Determine effective inventory levels.
** Off-shore sourcing knowledge is desirable.

Additional Information:

*Compensation will depend on the applicant but will have a base coupled with a productivity bonus based on inventory efficiency measures like turn rates and Return on inventory (GMROI).
*Must have an understanding of these inventory management measures!!
