SUMMARY


Receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within branch.











ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


- Read customer orders, sales orders, purchase orders and stock transfer sheets, to determine items to be pulled or received.


- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined bin location.


- Fill customer and stock transfer orders from stock, then stage orders for shipment on pallets or shelves.


- Mark materials with identifying information.


- Fill out paperwork such as purchase orders, sales orders, etc. with amounts of items received or shipped.


- Load and unload delivery trucks.


- Responsible for following all safety instructions on lifting properly, forklift operations, etc.


- Prepare parcels for U.P.S. shipments.


- Make sure parking lot and warehouse floor are free of all nails and other hazards.


- Purchase order receiving into Commerce Center.


- Create and submit A/P submittals and file branch control copy.


- Return for credits filled out on: returns for vendors on mis-shipments; damaged products; duplicate shipment and authorization for short payments.


- The incumbent must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 90 pounds.


- The incumbent must be able to operate a forklift.












QUALIFICATIONS


- Excellent attendance/on time record.


- Excellent customer service skills.


- Understanding of branch operation policies and procedures.


- Computer literate is a plus.












EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and/or training preferred.
