One of Chicago's most prestigious financial firms has an extremely rare opening for their Executive Floor Reception position. The company offers an "above market" salary, benefits package, and a wonderful work environment.



If you have been honing your receptions skills for several years and are ready for one of the best reception positions in the city, this position may be for you.



The ideal candidate will have superior communication skills, excellent computer skills and the poise, decorum and discretion to work with the highest echelon of Chicago's corporate elite.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are generally representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

Professionally answer and properly direct incoming calls on busy multi-line switchboards

Professionally answer and take messages for calls into the Executive side phone; the calls can be sensitive in nature and require sound judgment in handling

Receive, greet and assist visitors, guests and Board Members

Provide exceptional customer service to and support for the Executive Floor

Be watchful and aware of activities and traffic on the floor; alert the appropriate personnel if something needs attention or is amiss

Contribute to and be supportive of Corporate Services' facility responsibilities -- (a) Stay aware of the condition of our space; (b) Schedule and monitor conference rooms, (c) Assist with the central request service aka the 'Hotline', (d) Monitor and assist with maintaining the central supply rooms; (e) Perform clerical duties as requested or assigned: updating facility documents and directories, assisting co-workers with mailings, making phone calls, doing research for specialty items, etc.



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED

7 or more years of professional reception experience

Superior computer and keyboarding skills

Experience with, or ability to learn / operate Avaya Soft Console Telephone System



INTERPERSONAL/COMMUNICATION/LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Superior customer service skills

Strong command of the English language

Professional front office image and conduct

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and respond to staff, managers, clients with diverse personalities in a professional environment

Dependable and reliable attendance with a proven track record for punctuality

Excellent judgement and discretion

An ability to juggle and prioritize a variety of activities



MATHEMATICAL/ANALYTICAL/REASONING SKILLS:

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

Able and oriented to focus on details

Good time management skills. Able to juggle multiple priorities and work with multiple deadlines
