We are looking for a Sr. Customer Support Engineer for the West Coast (Arizona or California location)

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:





- Customer Support/Field Service Engineering experience


- Previous experience with Ball Bonder and/or Wedge Bonder.


- Semiconductor/high tech industry preferred.


- Willing to travel 60% - 80% of the time.


- Can work from home office.


- Clean driving record.


- Credit card for expenses (reimbursed)


- Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving/customer relation skills.








Job Description and Responsibilities:


Provides service support utilizing in-depth knowledge of K&S products, procedures and policies, advanced electronics, mechanical skills and understanding of customer's processes to support and maintain equipment at optimum operating levels and achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Performs machine installation, maintenance and repair.


Responsible for ensuring that schedules are met in a timely manner, problem activities are minimal, and takes or recommends remedial action to resolve problems which jeopardize maximum production, labor, and equipment utilization.


May oversee daily work activities of several less experienced Customer Support Engineers with regard to work direction, technical guidance, coordination of efforts, training and schedules.


Communicates customer issues through established escalation procedures and systems.



Assist in the selection, development and evaluation of Customer Support Engineers who would be under the direct supervision of the Regional Manager.


Maintain tools, equipment, product information and spare parts inventory for proper servicing of Customers. Ensure timely return of all warranty and parts returns. Ensures that all necessary paperwork is accurate and timely.


Provides application, product evaluation and qualification support.
