Instructional Design Training Specialist

Acxiom Corporation is currently seeking qualified individuals for an Instructional Design Training Specialist position we have available in our Central Arkansas location.

The training specialist will have the opportunity to:


Consult with business and technical leaders to identify and quantify training needs

Collaborate with SubjectMatter Experts to define overall curriculum design, learning objectives, and extract training content through interviews and from documentation

Create training offerings for instructor led, on-line (WebEx), self directed (CBT) learning

Update and/or modify training design, curriculum, and materials based on scheduled technology releases, newproduct testing and release cycles

Strong project management skills and proven ability to drive multiple and complex technical training programs to completion.

Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and achieve significant, complex goals and objectives.

Qualified candidates will also have the following technical skills and attributes:


Knowledge of instructional and curriculum design

Proven ability to apply adult learning theory and instructional design models and techniques

Conduct audience and organizational analysis

Define learning objectives.

Develop courses in Captivate, PowerPoint, Publisher

Design level 1-3 training evaluations

Design instructional and assessment strategies (testing)

Perform task and/or content analysis.

Conceptualize and facilitate the production of multimedia assets, including static graphics, illustrations, animations, simulations, audio narrations, and video.

2-5 years experience as an Instructional Designer/Course Developer with focus on e-Learning development

Experience designing and implementing training programs

Strong writing and editing skills

Experience in the following areas is valuable to this role:


Experience creating training courses using Macromedia Authorware

Experience designing self-study and distance learning curriculum

Acxiom Product Knowledge

Knowledge of SCORM/AICC Standards

Knowledge of WebEx or Microsoft Live Meeting

Education requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design (Masters preferred) or related fieldand 3-5 years experience developing technical training programs.

Some travel will be required and the candidate must be willing and able to learn Acxiom internal systems and technologies.
