Instructional Designer

Primary Responsibilities :
§ Develops or leads the development of Technology Based training (TBT) and instructor-led training (ILT) packages in accordance with sound instructional design( ID) principles.
§ Incorporates Instructional design process methodology to curriculum including: analysis of the audience, job tasks, the development of curriculum maps, storyboards, flowcharts, performance objectives, testing strategies, and learning activities.
§ Performs occasional instructor-led training programs and Train the Trainer on curriculum developed.
§ Must be able to travel at least 30% of the time, including international travel*.
§ Primarily focused on writing the course content and learning activities that meet course objectives

Qualifications :
§ Undergraduate degree in instructional design technology, education, communication or any discipline requiring mastery of written communication skills or equivalent experience
§ Proficient at professional training and courseware development
§ Experience in technical-based (TBT) design*
§ Experience managing a variety of instructional design related projects
§ Demonstrated skill using adult learning theory in the creation of training materials, which may include, whole task modeling, learner-centered instruction, action learning methods and feedback, and remediation techniques.
§ Experience developing classroom training, self-paced instruction and technology-based (TBT) training
§ Exceptional written / verbal language and grammar skills
§ Classroom training experience in relevant domain that may include technology, sales, or leadership learning activities
§ Proficient in course authoring tools (both ILT and TBT) such as HTML, Dreamweaver, and Coursebuilder
§ Proficient in software such as Snag-It, Viewlett, Photoshop, Flash, Fireworks used to create graphics and animation, capture screen shots, and produce demonstrations
§ Basic familiarity with microcomputer hardware and operating systems (Windows & Macintosh)
