Training Manager - Portfolio Advice Delivery And National Branch

This position can be based out of either Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO, or Indianapolis, IN



The training department provides training solutions for business needs for Schwab Investor Services. Key areas of focus include: New Hire, Professional Development, New Manager, Regulatory & Compliance, Portfolio Delivery, National Branch and New Products/Service/Tools. The target audience is all client contact employees.



This individual will be reponsible for working with assigned portfolio delivery directors and managers as well as PCs and APCs. In addition, they will support the National Branch employees to support training and skills critical to support the relationship sales development. Also, the Training Manager will be expected to support national training programs as well as other national training initiatives. Duties will include sheparding newly hired financial consultants through their first year at the NB and on Portfolio Delivery teams, as well as remedial and advance training for existing employees. The training managers will work with the Portfolio Delivery Directors and Practice Management team to recognize training needs and trends in order to aniticpate and develop comprehensive training and to work with various designers to customize training programs to fill those needs. This individual will work closely with the Director and Field Sales Trainers to insure a seamless client experience in the delivery of portfolio consultations.



5+ years Portfolio delivery and/or Financial Sales experience preferably in a relationship based business. Experience in delivering presentations to large audience and/or delivery of training. Strong written and verbal skills, with demonstrated success at building relationships. Experienced in matrix networking as well as peer-to-peer coaching. Must be able to maintain a busy travel schedule. CFP or like designation preferred.
