SBInet Structural Analyst Level 5
Job Description
This position will be in support of the SBInet program as a lead. The objectives of SBInet is to provide an integrated defense-in-depth that will support the interdiction of illegal immigration and internal and external threats operating in or moving through the international borders with Canada and Mexico. Managing, securing, and controlling the border requires determination of the optimum mix of technology, infrastructure, and response platforms to achieve maximum tactical and strategic advantage in each unique border environment. Specifically, this position is for a lead structural analyst. Structural Analysis supports the design of the SBInet hardware layouts and interfaces, trade studies and customer partnership meetings to develop a structural design that best satisfies program requirements. This includes quarterly reviews and briefings through TIM and partner meetings to provide oversight of the design process. The position will support the design and development of fixed and mobile sensor tower systems, communication tower assemblies, primary and secondary structures, Mechanical Support Equipment and will support the development of Mechanical system interfaces, and Mechanical system test and verification. An effective working interface among engineering groups, subcontractors and the customer allows the analyst to contribute as part of a team. Research, preparation and delivery of technical presentations to management and the customer are often used to communicate designs and analysis. Ability to function as a lead analyst, and oversee associate analysts.

Education
Requires educational credentials meeting the classification standards for engineers and typically a minimum 18 years experience in an engineering classification.
