Job Description

Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) Common Air Interface (CAI): - Participate as a leader of integration and test for radio communications applications (UMTS/WCDMA) in a JTRS SCA environment on small/medium size engineering team. Tasks include development of test strategies, test planning, procedure development and test execution and reporting of results. Candidate will participate in all levels of integration and test of the WCDMA software waveform to include monitoring of software development testing, software integration testing, hw/sw testing, Final Qualification Test (FQT), support of the program System I&T activities and support of additional government certification activities, to include JTRS, JITC and SCA. Candidate will be responsible for leading the integration and test of software components and the specification and procurement of specialized test equipment (STE). Status to upper levels of management and tracking assigned metrics will also be required.
Wideband CDMA (GSM is a trade-off) or Protocol stack and communications channels. Experience leading and participating in test and integration efforts for testing and integrating software on to hardware w/ strong experience with protocol stacks for establishing channels between handsets and basestations. Familiarity with a R-99 and R5 3G specification. A higher or lower grade may be established based upon qualifications and experience. Engineering degree, preferable BSCS/EE, with a minimum 10 years of integration and test engineering experience. The Candidate must work well in a team environment and have experience with software development and test methodologies, processes, and products. Candidate should have experience in an SEI CMM or CMMI Level 5 environment. Good oral, written and interpersonal skills to support appropriate interaction with internal team and teammate/customer representatives. Desirable experience/knowledge includes: PC applications in an MS Windows 2000/XP environment, communications protocols, test techniques, Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA). Rational tools to include Clearcase, ClearQuest, RequisitePro, Rose, Software Communications Architecture (SCA); WCDMA; UMTS. Multiple opportunities exist and are dependent on background and skill set. Must be able to travel 20% of the time. Applicant must be capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance.
