Project & Government Accounting Analyst

SUMMARY:


Reporting to the V.P. of Finance of Rapiscan Systems, this


position has the responsibility for Cargo and Vehicle


Inspection Project Accounting and Government Contract


Accounting.





GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


-Prepares indirect cost rates for B&P, forwards pricing


data and prepares DCAA's annual incurred cost


submissions.


- Responsible for the preparation of monthly project cost


reports, tracking costs according to FAR 31.205.


Prepares quarterly Estimated Cost at Completion in


conjunction with Project Managers.


-Responsible for reconciliations of project work in


progress, cost accrual, unbilled receivables, and


subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger.


-Assists in the preparation of Security Group


consolidated monthly reports, forecasts, and budgets.


-Participates in all financial and internal control


compliance and DCAA audits. Will assist in


implementing corrective actions, including those needed


to meet the standards required by the Sarbanes Oxley Act.


-Assists in the maintenance of and compliance with


Process Narratives which highlight internal controls.


Helps ensure compliance with Security Group and OSI


Corporate accounting policies and authorization matrix.


- Will ensure timely completion of work and meet


monthly reporting deadlines.


-Coordinates relevant issues with Corporate Treasury,


Tax, Legal and HR functions.


-Participates in process improvement activities and


special projects.





JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


BS degree in Accounting/ Finance with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience required.

Experience with Government Accounting, sound knowledge of US Government Cost Accounting Standards and FAR required

Experience with an international capital equipment manufacturer and ERP Systems, Navision experience preferred.

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and exceptional organizational skills are a must.
