APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY: $143,333 - 174,242

This recruitment is being conducted to fill one (1) full-time vacancy in the Mental Health Department, Placerville.

THE POSITION: Typical duties for this vacancy may include:

Client Treatment, including: evaluate, diagnosing and treating mental disorders; developing treatment plan, providing crisis intervention; providing consultation to jail, Day Treatment and other services programs.

Medical Protocols, including: providing direction and training to staff in medical protocols; participates in development of Quality Assurance Standards; monitoring medical record keeping.

Collaborating with other professionals, including consulting with other mental health staff as needed, participating in multi-disciplinary meetings, collaborating and consulting with other medical professionals and agencies in the community re: physical health care and psychiatric needs of mental health patients.

Minimum Qualifications

Completion of the required education and experience to obtain the certifications outlined under Other Requirements.

Other Requirements



Must possess a valid driver's license. Must possess a valid Physician and Surgeon Certificate issued by the State of California Board of Medical Examiners, and possess or be eligible for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry as a Psychiatrist.
