DEPARTMENT: Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System, Communications Unit





SALARY: $13.26 per hour








DUTIES: Answering incoming calls and assisting members at the front desk on a variety of issues pertaining to their retirement benefits; transferring calls to other department sections for follow through, summoning counselors, scheduling appointments; and providing a variety of other administrative support functions.





HOURS: Working hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. for a 3 to 8-month period.





REQUIREMENTS: Great communication skills and professional phone manner and demeanor. Professional dress is required. Candidates who worked as part-time, exempt employees with the City of Los Angeles in the past 12 months may not be eligible to apply.
