Social Service Caseworker

The Alabama Department of Human Resources is seeking Social Service Caseworkers eager to partner with communities to promote family stability and provide for the safety and self-sufficiency of vulnerable Alabamians.

The Alabama Department of Human Resources is in need of Social Service Caseworkers throughout the state. Responsibilities would include developing a social service plan for a select caseload in child protective services, adult protective services, day care, child and adult foster care, and/or adoptions; investigate abuse and neglect cases; provide immediate crisis intervention; assess need and delivery of services; arrange for clinical services; plan for nursing home care; preparing reports and assessments.

Salary: $26,629 - $42,458/yearly

Qualifications:

Graduation from a four year college or university with a degree in a social science. OR Graduation from a four year college or university with a degree in any major and at least 30 semester or 45 quarter hours in a social or behavioral science. Applicants without a social science degree should submit a college transcript or list of social or behavioral science courses and hours completed with their application.
