The Alabama Department of Human Resources is seeking Social Workers eager to partner with communities to promote family stability and provide for the safety and self-sufficiency of vulnerable Alabamians.


Alabama's history making child welfare program is looking for Social Workers with a Bachelor's degree and or Master's degree in Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education accredited program. The Alabama Department of Human Resources is in need of social workers throughout the state. Responsibilities would include development of social service plans for a caseload in child protective services, child foster care, and/or adoptions; assessing child abuse and neglect; providing immediate crisis intervention, assessing need and delivery of services; arranging for clinical services; preparing reports and assessments.

Salary: Social Worker (BSW) - $27,994.20 - $43,498/yearly


Salary: Senior Social Worker (MSW) - $31,642 - $48,003/yearly

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education


AND




Current license to practice Social Work in Alabama OR eligibility for license as issued by the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiners (Note: License must be obtained within probationary period in order to be eligible for permanent employment.)
