Sr. Knowledge Engineer

This position requires travel to Washington DC and to company headquarters throughtout the week. Per Dium for travel is provided. This position requires a high level technical person with full SW life cycle experience.
Project Management Experience:
- Ability to manage and contribute to teams defining, developing and implementing systems for US Government technology projects which generally have aggressive deadlines, mostly fixed resources, and high quality standards, requiring detailed requirements gathering and documentation, complete system design and implementation, and thorough system testing. Overall experiences should be in the areas of document management, electronic records management, imaging, and workflow technologies.
Electronic Records Alternatives Assessments:
- Must have demonstrated expertise collecting requirements and assessing application systems to meet the electronic records management needs of clients. Can successfully conduct feasibility studies, cost benefits analyses, and product alternatives assessments to help customers define and implement appropriate electronic records management systems. Must have significant knowledge of NARA and/or DoD 5015.2 standard compliance policies and procedures.
Technology Skills:
- Support IT consulting, system development, content management, work process analysis and system design efforts. Have ability to follow comprehensive steps required by the customer's Spiral Methodology. Must follow detailed levels of technical review during all project phases and a complex data migration is also required.
BS MIS or equivalent
- Certified Records Manager or 5015.2 experience
- Tower Trim (or equivalent) experience
Preferred Skills:
- Department of Navy Records Management
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, the Office Resource Kit, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project
- Technical understanding in some or all of the following toolsets: ColdFusion, Microsoft FrontPage, Javascript, VB Script, Visual InterDev, Visual Basic, VB.Net, C++, SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Oracle, Ascent Capture (Kofax), OCR, Adobe Photoshop, and PaintShop Pro.
