Asst. Director Of Clinical Services

Overview:
The ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL SERVICES (ADCS) is a qualified professional responsible for directing a collaborative case management process which assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, monitors and evaluates options and services to meet the individual patient's health needs through communication and available resources to promote quality cost-effective outcomes.

Responsibilities:
This individual is responsible for the management and supervision of patients on his/her assigned care team, and for the care, treatments and services provided by the care team members.

Qualifications:
1. A Registered Nurse with three years of clinical experience and at least one year of leadership experience within the last five years in a home health agency. A Baccalaureate or higher degree in nursing or other health related field and prior home care experienced required.
OR
A Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language
Pathologist with three years of clinical experience and at least one year of
leadership experience in home health, acute care, long-term care, out- patient clinic or rehab setting. Home health experience required.

2. Professional licensure in the state(s) in which he/she is required to practice.

3. Must meet educational/experience requirements outlined in the laws of licensure states.

4. Must possess competent knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid requirements outlined in the laws of licensure states.

5. Must possess competent computer skills, with windows-based experience preferred. Willing/able to be trained on software package used by agency.

6. Ability to relate to, and knowledgeable of the treatment for acutely ill/terminally ill patients/families and their particular problems.

7. Possess strong content knowledge of patient assessment, case management, and documentation skills.

8. Previous experience in venipuncture skills, intravenous therapy administration, preferred for RN, and/or in specialty service offered by agency.

9. Ability to make clinical decisions regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability or financial condition of the patient.

10. Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, telephone, communication and documentation skills, and be adept at multi-tasking.

11. Must possess the disposition and personality to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people and all levels of staff, and interact professionally as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.

12. Must possess a strong commitment to the goals, mission, and philosophy of the organization.

13. Ability to work flexible hours as required.

14. Absolute integrity and the use of good judgment to handle the professional and confidential nature of personnel, patient and company information.

15. Ability to adapt to changing organizational needs.

16. Speaks, writes, reads, and comprehends English.
